Asda Sunderland
Again due to previous outstanding works for the supermarket chain, James & Ward have developed a scheme for Asda Sunderland. This project has really been sent to test us, offering an existing "trading" store the aims are to introduce a 25,000sqft mezzanine. Not only that but the existing roof trusses must be removed to create enough headheight for customers.

This existing store is still in its early stages but already BIM has proved its part in designing out costs and early clashes.
Keep checking for further details.
Asda Todmorden
On the back of previous new build stores, James & Ward have developed Asda Todmorden which will be the UK's first Asda convenience store using BIM. The store, previously designed to be an 11,000sqft Netto outlet has been designed upto Costing Stage only at this moment in time.

This new store is still in its early stages but already BIM has proved its part in designing out costs and early clashes.

Asda Melksham
James & Ward and Asda Stores Ltd are excited to announce that the retail giant's second BIM project "Asda Melksham" opened its doors 2 weeks ahead of programme.

At James & Ward we are lucky enough to have been the lead consultant responsible for the second new build store for Asda Stores Ltd designed in BIM. On the back of our first successfull BIM new build "Asda Gorseinon" we had been challenged to reduce our design time to 6 weeks for Tender drawings. Thankfully with the recent knowledge gained from our previous new build and with the 3 years managing Asda's Model Store we happily met the target.
Many coordination issues had been thrashed out before demolition had even been finished on site.
Asda Gorseinon
James & Ward embarked on setting new standards for retail giants Asda in 2010 by completing their first new build project in BIM. A great learning curve for all members of the design team, this has set outstanding levels of quality for coordination on site.

Here at James & Ward we are proud of our first successful BIM new build "Asda Gorseinon" and had been tasked with creating standards and guidelines together with new ways of working for the retail sector. As a new process to Asda Stores Ltd, James & Ward took lead role in the coordination of the 3 main disciplines during design and construction ensuring smooth integration between Architectural, Structural and Mechanical & Electrical.
Asda Model
James & Ward had been employed by Asda Stores Ltd to develop and manage Asda's Model Specification & Design. In 2008 after a year of 2d AutoCAD drawings jamesWARD helped to "upgrade" the retail giants technical resources to utilise BIM technologies in a fully collaborative manner.
Our real first steps into a BIM world, this theoretical Model helped James & Ward to gain the knowledge of this new way of working which has gone on to win us further work today.

Although aimed completely around a single client James & Ward's knowledge can be transferred to any retail project across the country and help to transform dumb 2d data into a fully collabrative library of information.
